According to the data of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, the number of international tourist visits in 9 months amounted to 3,655,576, which is a 91.6% recovery of the data of 2019, compared to 2022, the growth increased by 35.2%.
As of the 3rd quarter of 2023, 2,706,863 international travelers visited, which is 80.2% recovery of pre-pandemic data, compared to 2022, the increase is +19.4%.
In the period of July-September 2023, 1,725,093 international tourist visits took place in Georgia, which is a 92.6% recovery of the data of 2019, and compared to 2022, the increase is +15.4%.
As the administration explains, the number of international travelers and international tourist visits is calculated according to the methodology developed according to the recommendation of the World Tourism Organization and includes already made and completed visits.
